The Big Idea: Paths to Entrepreneurship

A perfect event for entrepreneurs, creatives, those thinking of working in startups, and all enterprising individuals! Beginning with a wine and cheese reception, creative entrepreneurs share insights into launching a successful enterprise, working in startups, and refining one’s vision along the way. Q&A to follow this exciting panel presentation. Plus, learn more about the many free skill-building workshops offered by CalArts’ HIVE (Hybrid Incubator for Visionary Entrepreneurs).

  • Harmony Jiroudek, Kadenze
    Director of Academic Relations at Kadenze, Inc. with 10+ years experience in higher education, Harmony, a mezzo-soprano received her BFA in 2005 and MFA in 2007 from California Institute of the Arts in Vocal performance.
  • Robbie Nock, Founder of Signpost and Museum Guide, and Manager of Entrepreneurship Programs at Art Center
    Robbie Nock is an artist, designer and entrepreneur with background in photography and media production. In 2012 he founded the mapping startups Signpost and Museum Guide. Currently serving as the Director of Alumni Relations at Art Center College of Design, Robbie works with a range of entrepreneurs, small business owners and freelance creatives to build and fund sustainable ventures. He received a MA in English Literature from University of Edinburgh and a MFA in Art and Technology from CalArts.
